Your sweet tooth’s ‘It-Couldn’t-Be-Easier Brownies’By CairoCooking • July 15, 2015
Have you ever tried to search for a brownie recipe? It is the most confusing recipe search ever! Recipes online as well as those big cooking shows are all so different and elaborate – from their ingredients list to their measures up to the instructions for baking. This motivated us to share with you our friend and new mum Shahira Selim’s family recipe for the easiest (I repeat the easiest!) yet deliciously chewy brownies. You might want to give it a try as your gateway towards exploring for sophisticated brownie recipes or stop here for consistently delightful brownies.
Did I mention they’re just too easy to make? Yes! They do not even require cutting up raw chocolate or melting it! Shahira herself claims she does not and cannot cook but baking these was always so easy and impressed everyone. “I never cook, I seriously do not know how to, I just bake easy desserts because I love sweets.”
Shahira’s mum always baked the best desserts. At the time where you couldn’t lay your hands on those American treats anywhere in Egypt, she prepared the most amazing chocolate chip cookies and brownies. We were teenagers at the time when it was always exciting to visit Shahira’s house since we knew we would find these yummy goodies!
Now was the time to find out how her mum was able to create these brownies so easily at a time when ingredients were missing and our collective baking knowledge was limited to sponge cake and our famous kahk.
Ingredients:
