This recipe is bursting with flavours and it’s really flexible because it could be served as a burrito , a taco, a salad or 2 side dishes!

 


Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chicken breast - صدور دجاج
  • 5 tortilla bread - خبز التورتيلا
  • 1/2 cup carrots (shredded) - جزر
  • 1/2 cup cabbage (shredded) - كرنب
  • 1/2 cup red cabbage (shredded) - كرنب أحمر
  • DRY INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup all purpose flour - دقيق أبيض
  • 1/4 cup corn starch - نشا
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika - بابريكا / فلفل أحمر
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder - شطة مطحونة
  • 1 tablespoon salt - ملح
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder - بصل مجفف
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder - بودرة ثوم
  • pinch ground cumin - كمون
  • pinch black pepper - فلفل أسود
  • WET INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 egg - بيضة
  • 1/2 cup water - ماء
  • 1/2 cup milk - لبن
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 stick butter (6 tablespoons) - زبدة
  • 1 1/2 cup hot chili sauce - صوص حار
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce - صوص ورشيسترشير
  • pinch garlic powder - بودرة ثوم
  • 1/2 tablespoon corn starch - نشا
  • DRESSING:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream - قشدة حامضة
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise - مايونيز
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder - بصل مجفف
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder - بودرة ثوم
  • salt and pepper - ملح و فلفل
  • 1 tablespoon blue cheese (crumbled) - جبنة ريكفور

Step by step

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into 3 cm cubes, and set aside.
  2. To make the dressing, in a bowl mix the sour cream, mayo, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper together until it's well combined. Then add the crumbled blue cheese and mix it well.
  3. Mix the shredded white cabbage, red cabbage, and carrots with the dressing and set it aside.
  4. To prepare your breading station, mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, and the wet ingredients in another. Coat the chicken cubes with the dry ingredients, then dip it to the wet mixture, then back to the dry ingredients, then back again to the wet mixture and finally back to the dry ingredients(very important for a thick crispy crust).
  5. Fry the chicken for 6 minutes.
  6. For the buffalo sauce, in a pot mix the butter, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and the garlic powder until it’s well combined, and then add the cornstarch for a thick and creamy consistency to the sauce.Toss the chicken with the buffalo sauce until it's well coated.
  7. Toast the tortilla bread in a pan. Add a bed of the blue cheese ranch slaw, then top it with 4-5 boneless wings and ENJOY!
